DAY 1: AIRPORT-TUNIS

  • Arrival at Tunis airport, assistance by the tour guide, and transfer to Tunis city.
  • Overnight at Royal Victoria 4* Hotel or similar

DAY 2:TUNIS-BULLA REGIA-DOUGGA-THUBURBO MAJUS-TUNIS

  • After breakfast, departure to Bulla Regia ancient Roman city, your first cultural tourism attraction.
  • Visit the famous underground houses where you can admire the superb mosaic floor such as the Hunting house, the Amphitrite House, the baths, theater, etc.
  • Drive to Tubursouk village for lunch.
  • In the afternoon, dive into cultural tourism by exploring Dougga, the ancient Thugga, the best and more preserved archaeological site in all of Tunisia, considered a World Heritage.
  • Visit the ruins: Theater, the Capitol, the Wind’s Rose Square, the market, the Forum, the residential area, winter and summer baths, the Libyco-Punic mausoleum, latrines, etc.
  • We continue the trip to Thuburbo Majus, one of the most important Roman remains in Tunisia, with many impressive monuments.
  • Visit the ruins: the forum, the Capitol temple, which is dedicated to Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva, the Temple of Mercury, Summer and Winter Baths, The Palaestra of the Petronii, the temple dedicated to Baal, the sanctuary of Caelestis, and many other ruins.

DAY 3:TUNIS-KAIROUAN- EL DJEM-TUNIS

  • After breakfast, a departure from your hotel to Kairouan, the fourth holy city of Islam and the first Arab-Muslim city in Tunisia declared world heritage.
  • Arrive at Kairouan and visit the Aghlabid basins, old water reserves that provided the entire city with drinkable water.
  • Visit of the Abu Zoumaa Al Balaoui Mausoleum called Sid Sahib.
  • Visit the Great Mosque of Okba named after the founder.
  • External visit to the Three Doors Mosque.
  • Visit to the Sidi Abid al-Ghariani Mausoleum.
  • Visit the Medina with its traditional souks of cottage industry.
  • After lunch, departure to El Djem city, the ancient Thysudrus.
  • Visit the Roman amphitheater which dates from the 3rd century, with a capacity of 35,000 spectators.

  • Drive back to Tunis, overnight at Royal Victoria 4* Hotel

DAY 4:TUNIS-MEDINA-BARDO-CARTHAGE-SIDI BU SAID

  • After breakfast, a guided visit to the Medina of Tunis which is declared world heritage.
  • A wander tour, and a panoramic visit to the ancient monuments: The Zitouna mosque, Hammouda Pacha Mosque, Souk El Attarine (Perfumers Market), Souk Essarrajine (Market of manufacturer of horse saddles), Souk El Berka (Jewels market), El Kasba Place, the traditional Souks, etc.
  • Your next cultural tourism destination is the National Bardo Museum, a former residence for the Ottoman monarchs, it houses the largest collection of Roman mosaics in the world.
  • After lunch, visit the Carthage ruins, the ancient capital of the Punic Empire: the Tophet an ancient Punic sanctuary dedicate to Tanit and Baal Hamon the most worshipped Gods.
  • Visit the ancient Punic harbors which housed the commercial and military fleet of Carthage.
  • Visit the ancient Roman Baths of Anthony
  • Drive to  Sidi Bou Saïd, the Moorish village with its beautiful houses painted in blue and white with their balconies typically decorated with arabesque.
