Itinerary of the cultural trip

THE PRESTIGIOUS ROMAN RUINS OF DOUGGA AND BULLA REGIA

  • Early pick up from your selected hotel towards Bulla Regia, an ancient Numidian principality from the second century that was part of Massinissa kingdom, the enemy of the Romans.
  •  The current vestiges are still preserved because of the romanization of the city.
  • Wonderful underground houses with floors profusely covered by Roman mosaics.
  • Arrive at the site and a guided visit to the ruins: the hunting house, the Amphitrite house, the thermal baths, the theater, the forum, etc.
  • Drive to Dougga, the most famous and most visited Roman site in Tunisia, declared World Heritage.
  • Although it is of Numidian origin founded A-C, the current ruins date back to Roman times.
  • Arrive at the site, visit the remains of the ancient Thugga: The theater, the capitol, the forum, the thermal baths, the houses, the winds rose square, the triumph arch, the Libyco-Punic mausoleum, etc.
  • After the visit, drive to Tubersouk village for lunch.
