Departure from Djerba and pick up from your selected hotel or location towards Tataouine and Dhahar mountains crossing the roman causeway, the road connecting the island to the mainland.
Arrive at Tataouine and shortstop in the market to see local people’s activities.
Then drive to Douiret, an ancient and abandoned fortified Berber village.
It is perched high on the spur of a hill above a splendid whitewashed mosque.
Beginning of the Hiking tour through the wonderful mountainous landscapes till Chenini Berber Village (about 3h30 hiking time).
Arrive at Chenini, an ancient fortified granary and village built by the Berbers between two hilltop ridges to protect the village from raiding tribes.

In the evening, wander tour in Chenini to the legendary mosque of “The Seven Sleepers” then we continue the hiking from the other side of the mountains to Douiret (about 2h30 Hiking time).
We reach Douiret and wander tour to visit the old houses, the famous underground mosque and the traditional oil mill.
Delicious dinner of local products and overnight in the amazing troglodytes Lodge “Gîte de Douiret”.
After a tasty and full breakfast composed of local products, we put our luggage in the car and drive to Chenini where the hiking tour starts to Guermessa (About 4h00 Hiking time).
Arrival to Guermessa, a mountain ruined Berber village along the hilltop with visible remains of a fortress above of the peaks built to protect the inhabitants from villains.
We arrive at Guermessa, visit the village and a typical lunch to savor the delights of the Beber culinary art.
After lunch Drive to Zammour, a quiet village nestled in the heart of Dhahar Mountains.
Beginning of a hiking tour (about 2h00) to the ancient Zammour Ksar, a former Beber granary built in the 18th century to store food, here you’ll discover stunning views and landscapes. Back to the village, delicious dinner and overnight in a special well-equipped troglodyte Lodge in Zammour village.
After a peaceful and sweet overnight in the troglodyte Lodge, a rich and tasty breakfast made of local products will be served to you to start your day with a lot of energy.
After that, we begin to hike (about 4h00) discovering the mountainous land around Zammour village.
You will enjoy the fresh and breathing pure air with the scent of many aromatic plants such as Rosemary and Thyme.
Back to Zammour for a typical lunch prepared by Berber women.
After lunch, we get in the car again and drive to Toujene, Berber village hidden between the Dhahar Mountains offering a stunning landscape.
Drive to Matmata, an amazing Berber village of unique beauty known for its underground houses and lunar landscape.
Visit a Berber dwell cave house to discover the ancestral traditions of Berber cave dwellers.
Drive back to Djerba, drop off in your selected hotel or location. End of our services.
